Saturday at the Park

Shawn and I were lucky enough to go and see the River Cats (the triple A team here in Sacramento..for those that don't know) I have a friend that works there and he was kind enough to get us tickets on the front row right behind home plate... Shawn said they were the best seats in the house, so he really hooked us up.

Shawn and I were getting to know those in the seats around us and he introduced me to Kevin Johnson, I didn't know who he was but according to Shawn he use to play for the Kings and the Phoenix Suns and now he's running for Mayor of Sacramento.. so after talking with him for a while we made sure to get a picture at the end of the game.

And to end a great championship season for the Cats the night ended with fireworks, my favorite!! a great end to a great day!

My man at work!

Here's Shawn hard at work with is crew. I've been hounding him for a picture and after many hours of asking he gave in and got his guys to stand still for a few minutes. He told me it was only because they had just gotten back from a fire that day and they were all in a good mood. Either way it worked out for me, and now you can all see where Shawn spends his time when he's not home working on my "honey-do list".

Haircut!

So on Friday I went in to get my haircut. I have been wanting to go short for a while but have chickened out a couple of times. So I have been building myself up for this and finally took the plunge. How funny that I have to build myself up for a stupid haircut! My hair was the longest it has ever been! (Which still isn't that long!) But my hairstylist took 6 inches off! ( I didn't even know I had that much to cut off!) That is a lot of hair! I really wanted to donate to Locks Of Love but their minimum is 10 inches and I'm afraid that would have taken me quite a few years! So I of course had to take a picture! It looks like a little dog! ( I know, kind of gross!) I feel weird about just putting a picture of me, taking a picture of myself and posting it on here...so you'll have to wait until I get some group pictures or at least pictures of Shawn and I to see the actual haircut...so I know that you all will be waiting with anticipation for that..j/k.

Puppies

So my brother Austen's dogs had puppies. They are so adorable and I sooo want one...but alas our busy lives just don't allow time for one...( I know...major bummer!) But if you know someone who wants a dog..they are super cute and tons of fun! But I thought I would post some pictures because they are seriously cute dogs! Shawn keeps telling me that ALL puppies are cute...haha...I guess he's right!

Protect Marriage

I have a lot to say on this issue but don't want to type it all out here....so I will just ask that if you see this, you go to this website to help protect marriage between a man and a women in California.

The entire text of Proposition 8 is as follows:
"Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid and recognized in California."

Old Pictures from San Diego

Back in May (for my 4 day vacation in between school semesters!) I went down to San Diego to visit Danielle....I have any of the pictures on my camera so I am stealing these from Danielle! It was a great vacation and I can't wait until I can go back again!

Birthday Weekend!

So we had a great weekend! It started on Friday (My birthday!) I didn't have to work until 2:30 so my mom and I went and got manicures and pedicures and of course went shopping! Then my best friend Danielle was in town from San Diego so we met up with some friends from junior high and went out to eat at BJ's. It was a wonderful meal with wonderful company. My friends were even kind enough to tell the waitress that it was my birthday so we all got a yummy brownie pazookie (sp?) out of it! Then Saturday we went out boating with Danielle her brother and Kirk (We missed you Ash!). We had a lot of fun! Then Sunday Joseph Thomas Jackson (Saydi and Steven's) baby was blessed and they had a fabulous BBQ at their home. It was a great weekend and I can't wait for next weekend!

P.S. Shawn was super sweet on my birthday and even made me a cake! (He makes them better then I do!)
