Busy.Busy.Busy

Before I met Shawn I knew he was pretty handy but in the past couple of weeks/months I have found out that he's even more crafty then what I had imagined. I have given him a couple of projects and somehow he has managed to finish them in the little time that he does have...because he is awesome!! We have a couple of tables that we got after we moved into the house and I wanted to update them to look like the rest of our furniture in the house.
Here is Shawn sanding everything down

Here is the finished product in our living room

Yep...I love it!
Another project we had before summer hit was organizing the garage. Our garage was pretty organized to begin with but I really wanted to have shelves in our garage to put all of our stuff on, especially since the dog seems to get into everything!

Here is the garage after

And before these projects Shawn helped my parents redo all of their kitchen cabinets. My mom and I forgot to take pictures of all of the before/after. But I think everyone would agree that their kitchen looks so much better.
Yesterday was Sacramento's Museum Day and almost all of the museums in the area were free! Our cousin Ashley had her baby shower (I got NO pictures!) and after that Shawn and I headed down the Aeronautics airport museum on McClellan AFB. I used to live next to an air force base so it was really cool to see what all of the planes look like. We even got to sit in a fighter jet. The guy there said it was the fastest plane there...it was pretty cool and we got a great deal since usually it would have cost us $40 to get in!

And just for fun here is an updated picture of Hurley...as I said in the previous post he is getting so BIG! But we love him, he is such a fun little dog!

Way to go Shawn, the tables look really nice! And as for the garage Im impressed, Ive been bugging Brian to do that for months! How fun that you got to go the museum for free (By the way Brittany, you look so cute in that picture). And Hurley is HUGE, but still very cute! I miss you guys!

Great Job Shawn! The tables and garage look impressive. Anytime Ryan thinks that he can build something, I try to talk him out of it unless he gets someone like you to help him. He's not the best handy man, but don't tell him I said that :). I guess that is how mom is with Dad right?? Always makes sure Brent or someone who has done it before is helping him.
