I know that a lot of people have asked about Shawn's job and what he does exactly so I thought I would take a quick moment to give everyone a little glimpse into this crazy world that we call firefighting. Shawn just got a letter from San Fran FD inviting him to test with their department that went something like this...administration of the written test is scheduled to begin the week of September 21, 2009 and will conclude in mid-November 2009. The test will be administered on weekdays, and approximately 320 candidates will be scheduled each day of testing.
EACH DAY!! Are you kidding me?!?! 320 people EACH DAY?? Yeah I'm pretty sure that no job I have EVER applied for or will EVER apply for has had 320 people TOTAL...let alone within a day.
So a HUGE shout out to my hubby Shawn for his determination and perseverance. I know you'll make it!

Good luck Shawn! Brian tests for the police dept in September too, so hopefully we will both have awesome news in a few months (crossing fingers).
