Feathers and Dear John

I've been a lame blogger lately...but I guess that really isn't anything new...and not that I have anything important to write because I don't...but this weekend was especially entertaining. Shawn has had some time off work so this week he put in some new light fixtures that we have both been wanting to replace the ones in our kitchen, dining room and entry way. They look so nice..but of course no pictures.
We have been trying this new thing with Hurley. When we leave the house for a little while we will leave Hurley inside, especially since the weather has been so rotten...I just hate leaving him outside...I know it's just a dog...but still! Well I did this on Friday, knowing that I would be home early from work for lunch. He has been so good lately that I figured this was just going to be another good day. Yeah I guess I thought wrong. When I came home from lunch the house looked just like I had left it, except one of my pillows in our living room was off of the couch. I was really suprised since usually he doesn't go in that room. It's the "nice room". The one that no one ever goes into unless well, in our case we just never go in there. So I put the pillow back on the couch and do my chores around the house, play with the dog, hopefully get him tired for when I leave again for work. Well when I came home from work that night this is what I found...

Yeah I swear...Devil Dog my friends. Retainer and now this...well I guess I can't expect much he is just a dog...and what was I thinking? Yes, I know I should have seen the pillow and thought to myself, hm..if he gets one pillow down he might got back for it...but NO...I think Oh I tell him not to do it and he won't. Yeah right!Luckily I have a wonderful husband that cleaned it all up. You can barely see the bag but I thought it would be a good idea to scoop them all...yeah not so much. Shawn got home and pulled out the shop vac and had them all cleaned up in no time. Well of course I couldn't only have one nice pillow on the couch so we had to go to Target to get a replacement pillow. Which prompted me buying this book...

Shawn always laughs at me because I buy a book and usually have it read within a day. Well this time was even worse. We went to the store at 9pm and got home oh around 9:30...I had the book started and finished by 10am the next morning...but it was so worth it! I can't wait to see the movie. I was a little disappointed by the ending...because I obviously love the happy endings but still good none the less. The previews alone make me bawl so I might have to wait for it to come out on DVD. Not sure if I will have the patience but it's better then embarassing my husband and sobbing through the movie...I guess we'll have to see.

Love my granddog Hurley even though he is naughty sometimes. Don't know about the movie now. Maybe will watch it at home so I am not losing in bawling in the movies.
