Spring has Sprung!

My last blog was kind of negative...and mean...haha...so yes i'm not pregnant! Sorry, I couldn't resist. So life has still been kind of boring but I am LOVING the summer weather here! Today I almost had to turn the air conditioning on but I told Shawn we could only use fans! It's only April for heavens sake but it's like 90 degrees!! Shawn had a fire training a couple of weeks ago and has some pictures from it.

He is going to be the best man in his friends wedding in May. I am done with school the end of May and will start summer school right after our trip to Utah! We are heading out there the middle of June (hopefully everything works out!) We just started a biggest loser thing with our friends Adam and Breanna. It's been hard starting off but hopefully at the end of it we will all be thinner, and in better shape!! Hurley is doing well, loving the nice weather too! Shawn and I were looking through pictures and I can't believe how big he has gotten!

We love our little baby.....even when he's a brat!

Ugh

I'll probably erase this after i'm all done but in the event that I don't....you have been warned...this is going to be a LONG post. So I'm feeling very ugh. Yes, I know that's not a word...it's a sound...ugh. I'm procrasting homework that should have been done days ago. School schedule for Summer and Fall just got posted and i'm feeling a bit...overwhelmed. Not overwhelmed by what i'm actually doing but overwhelmed by what could be. (Shawn gets mad at me for this, "it hasn't even happened yet and you're stressing over it..." Yes I know!) Shawn is doing so well in school and I am so proud of him and I can't help but feel that i'm just kind of here. I mean i'm working and taking a couple of classes but I still have yet to decide what it is that I really want to do. I thought I had made my "career" decision and now i'm kind of questioning it. I feel like my situation is kind of difficult because the career Shawn is going into is kind of...everywhere...in an organized kind of way. I mean the guy is going to be gone for a couple of days, home a couple of days and then gone again. He isn't going to be working a 9-5. So if we ever plan on seeing each other and maybe one day having kids and actually being able to see them and not send them to a babysitter's everyday, I kind of need a job that I can work around...everywhere. My job now is fine and I like the 8-5, M-F thing but seriously...I don't think I can do this forever. So my current dilemma is I have 2 career choices...2 very good choices in my opinion...I just can't choose between them. They both require a LOT of time, time that I just don't have with working right now. So I guess for now I will just stew over the fact that I have absolutley no control...anyone that knows me, knows that I am super control freak...so this whole no control thing does not work out well for me. But I will try and hope that I can figure all of it out...or not...haha...pretty much I don't know anything. Nuf said.

And to add on to all of that...

Happy April Fools Day.

Garrards visit Part 2

So, since I am posting we obviously got our new computer...let's just say i'm still adjusting. While it is new that also means that I have to learn how everything on it works and all of that fun stuff.
Well here are the second part of the Garrards visit. The second day they were here (Friday) we went golfing up at Golfland/Sunsplash and then headed out to Wilton to see Shawn at the fire station. All in all it was tons of fun and Joey even cried when we left the station. It was so fun to see Shawn at work and really get an idea of what he does. I don't know how they keep it all straight..there is so much they have to know...but somehow they do it! I just love watching him because you can see how much he loves what he does and why he is working so hard in Paramedic School! So the pictures are all out of order so i'm not putting descriptions or anything under them. I miss them so much and hope it's not too long until we see them again!

DEAD

So you know that wonderful blog that I was promising in a couple of days...well it ain't gonna happen for a while...our computer is DEAD. Yep...dead. Our friend Bill looked at it and said he never saw a computer crash this bad...seriously. Yep...seriously. So all of you will just have to wait until we get out new, pretty, expensive computer. Did I mention expensive? Yeah, I guess computers aren't cheap. Oh well....look at the brightside....we get a fun, NEW computer. So stay tuned for a new blog...hopefully within the next couple of days. I never realized how much I LOVE computers!!!

Garrard's come to visit

My cousin Julie, her husband John and kids Jace, Jakeb, Jaeli and Joey came to visit us this past weekend. It was so fun to finally see all of her kids! They are adorable and I seriously hope that my kids are just as awesome as they are! On Thursday we went down to the Capitol and had dinner at Joe's Crab Shack.

On Saturday we all went to Six Flags. It was such a blast! Everytime I have gone to Six Flags there has always been a HUGE line....well not Saturday! We went on ride after ride! It was awesome! The longest we waited in line was 15 minutes...seriously? That never happens!

The only picture I have is of the Garrard family with Medusa in the background!

On Thursday it's Jaeli's birthday so we decided to have a little celebration before they went back to Idaho. She loves Hello Kitty so we decided to throw her a little Hello Kitty Party!

All of the girls minus my mom

Jaeli is into dance and is actually going to be doing a solo soon. It was so cute I made her do it twice!

We also got to go to the Fire Station to see Shawn. We got tons of pictures there...none of which I have at the moment so expect another post within the next couple of days!
And in Lemon News Shawn is halfway done with Paramedic School! YAY! He is done with the classroom portion in July and then starts his hospital and ambulance work. I am so proud of him!!

Graphic Content

Hey everyone, I know it has only been a few days since Brittany's last post but I had a really fun day at school and i couldn't wait to show off the pictures. We got to cut open the heart and lungs of a lamb...poor lamb. This one shows some really cool things so I'll show it first.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the lungs as well as a heart cut in half.

Well that's all that Brittany could stomach me showing you but I hope you enjoy the pictures, I know that I had a really fun time taking them.

Busy.Busy.Busy

Before I met Shawn I knew he was pretty handy but in the past couple of weeks/months I have found out that he's even more crafty then what I had imagined. I have given him a couple of projects and somehow he has managed to finish them in the little time that he does have...because he is awesome!! We have a couple of tables that we got after we moved into the house and I wanted to update them to look like the rest of our furniture in the house.
Here is Shawn sanding everything down

Here is the finished product in our living room

Yep...I love it!
Another project we had before summer hit was organizing the garage. Our garage was pretty organized to begin with but I really wanted to have shelves in our garage to put all of our stuff on, especially since the dog seems to get into everything!
Here is our garage before

Here is the garage after

And before these projects Shawn helped my parents redo all of their kitchen cabinets. My mom and I forgot to take pictures of all of the before/after. But I think everyone would agree that their kitchen looks so much better.
Yesterday was Sacramento's Museum Day and almost all of the museums in the area were free! Our cousin Ashley had her baby shower (I got NO pictures!) and after that Shawn and I headed down the Aeronautics airport museum on McClellan AFB. I used to live next to an air force base so it was really cool to see what all of the planes look like. We even got to sit in a fighter jet. The guy there said it was the fastest plane there...it was pretty cool and we got a great deal since usually it would have cost us $40 to get in!

And just for fun here is an updated picture of Hurley...as I said in the previous post he is getting so BIG! But we love him, he is such a fun little dog!
